The rain is falling on newly sprouted spinach, red romaine and butter-crunch lettuce, sugar snap peas, garlic, onions, strawberries and herbs. Most of the beds are ready for planting, and the newly tilled garden sections are ready as well. We have lots of seeds in the ground, and plants ready to go after the fear of the last frost has passed. Every year we seem to have a hard frost in mid May, and this year will probably be no different. I was pleased to see so many apple, cherry and plum blossoms after the unpredictable weather earlier this spring. We are looking forward to planting over Memorial Weekend and want our garden members to join us Saturday morning if they like. There will be lots to plant!
