Green……and Growing a CSA update

June 12th….

Everything is green and growing. Weekly shares have begun and each will contain fresh strawberries/ spinach/ rhubarb/ herbs ( dill and basil) / lettuce / radishes/. Check out the photos below of the garden.

Very soon we will experience an abundance of peas/ squash/ chard/ and cucumbers. A gently reminder that we do not use any chemicals on our produce and we also compost. So please thoroughly wash all of your produce before consumption. Many of us are accustomed to this perfectly clean romaine lettuce. In ours one may find a few bugs / holes/ and some dirt.

We processed the first group of Cornish Roasters and now have available 5 pound roasters. These birds were raised on pasture with grain. The meat is tender and tasty.

We continue to collect over a dozen eggs a day. If you did not add the eggs to your half or whole share and would like some/ let us know.
